The Airport is 3.5nm NNE of
the centre of Plymouth, next to the main A386 road,
entrance via Derriford
Road to Plymbridge lane
There are two runways: runway 24/06 at 752m x 26m is
rarely used
Runway 13/31 is the main runway at 1170m x 30m, with 31
being the preferred
runway due to extensive built up areas on final to 13.

Plymouth Military provide a LARS during the weekday only
and before 1700
on 121.25.(1600 on Friday) They can’t provide actual
vectors to the ILS, as they are not based
in the airport. Plymouth Approach doesn’t have radar and
never has-don’t try
to ask for it!
Scheduled aircraft park in front of the terminal: usually
stand 1A parallel with
the building or stand 1 and 3 side ways on. Stand 2 is
used in strong winds.
Stand 5 is by the car park fence: with good views-usually
used for business
charters. Stand 4 is used by the mail flight in the
evenings.
The Naval Grobs park in their own hanger behind the
flying school grass.
The light aircraft park includes the fuel pumps and is
small; most visitors’
park on the north side grass where crossing clearance is
required.
The airport is strictly PPR at all times
There are no circuits after 2000 on weekdays.
Opening hours are 0630-2200 all year, except during
weekends when the airport closes at half hour intervals (refer to the latest
Notams)
Excess charges apply after 2000 daily
